"We are the proud owners of 3 of Jason's works (Assimilation Two; Aerial View & Pewter Cup). We are eagerly anticipating our 4th. They add a special class and warmth to our home."
Allan & Tiffany - Casurina Beach

"I am thrilled to own a Jason Rice Original. His artistry speaks to all ages and engages the soul - a rare talent indeed."

Lucille R - Gold Coast

“Jason presented me with a 1200 x 900 portrait of me for my 40th birthday.  It now dominates my living room.  Without fail it catches the eye of every visitor and sparks an emotive but positive reaction.  Everyone wants its!   At first I didn’t see a ‘real’ likeness but my opinion soon changed.  In fact the likeness is uncanny.  He certainly has a knack and an amazing expressive style.”
Graeme C – Gold Coast.
“I have two of Jasons paintings in my clinic.  Both very different.  Everyone loves them and wants to know where I got them from.”
Merryn P – Gold Coast.
"Two of Jason's paintings take pride in our home. Both very different pieces but they are always a topic of conversation when guests walk into our loungeroom. Well done Jason, I am very proud of you. Keep up the good work."
Denise R - Gold Coast

BACK TO THE SHED

“There is never an ordinary moment”
Dan Millman.

Jasons definitive free form style continues to evolve. Rediscovering the rudimentary and elementary refractions of life he persistently challenges the norm embracing and liberating the soul.

“All is not what it appears and what appears is not all”.

Jason captures emotion evoking & enhancing his very deliberate results. Highlighted by bold colours, black accents and trim his work oozes quirky balance presenting a pleasing to the eye feel. The conflicting undertones challenging the viewer with perceptions of social contrast and contradiction freeing the mind. A visual menagerie loaded with capricious influence impacting profoundly upon the viewer results.

Jason is driven to take art to the world. Using interactive workshops, public murals and collaborations with other artists to engage and inspire the ritual of creation and keep his art pure.

Jason is planning further collaboration with Californian surfer and artist Darryl Dugas.

In the pipeline for 2009

• Solo exhibition (TBA)
• More public space murals
• New work and photography as JR

Jason has recently returned to his shed on the southern Gold Coast after abandoning any idea of a purpose designed and dedicated studio. Preferring instead to paint ifrom his living space in an attempt to maintain and capture the purity his creative enigma.
